Join us for November’s monthly ramble: a 10-mile countryside walk through Surrey heathland, finishing at the pub.

Date: Saturday 14 November 2026

Meeting point: Waterloo station, for the 9.25am train to West Byfleet (the train’s final destination is Alton)

Walk starts: 10.00am from West Byfleet

Finish: Cobham & Stoke D’Abernon station, for the return train

Distance: About 10 miles

Highlights: The route crosses a heathland green bridge early on, and there’s a pub at the end for a well-earned drink.

Food: There’s a café about halfway, but please bring sandwiches in case you’d rather keep going.

What to bring: Sturdy footwear, weatherproof layers, water, and a packed lunch.
