DESCRIPTION:What’s really happening for the person next to you in meeting? \n\n\n\nYou sit in worship together week after week — but do you know what’s going on in their head\, in their heart? Do they believe or experience what you believe or experience? Have you ever wanted to ask\, and hear the honest answer? \n\n\n\nJoin us for a full day workshop to explore exactly that: how we talk to each other about our spiritual experience. The day is designed to help Friends open up conversations that often stay unspoken – and we’re looking forward to piloting at Wandsworth meeting house. \n\n\n\nOver the day\, we’ll: \n\n\n\n\nUnpack what we actually do in worship – including the words we reach for to describe it. \n\n\n\nName the barriers that stop us sharing – and what we lose by staying quiet \n\n\n\nHear some definitions of Quakerism and explore spiritual practice. \n\n\n\nDiscover what we gain when we do share\, and hear from others. \n\n\n\nFind real opportunities for these conversations\, and what each of us can do to make them happen. \n\n\n\n\nJoin us from 10am on Saturday 7 November – we’ll break for lunch at around 1pm and finish by 4pm. SUMMARY:Youth\, Children and Families at Yearly Meeting in London
DESCRIPTION:Children and young people are warmly invited to be part of Yearly Meeting on Saturday 21 November 2026. There will be a dedicated children’s programme\, offering a fun\, welcoming and age-appropriate space to explore\, play\, reflect and build community together. \n\n\n\nOlder teens will also be able to take part through the accompaniment programme\, shaped in a similar way to the opportunity offered at the Manchester event in July. This will support young people to engage with the wider Yearly Meeting\, connect with one another and experience the gathering as part of the wider Quaker community. It will offer a supportive environment to enable older teens to take part in Yearly Meeting at the pace and depth that suits them. \n\n\n\nThese are not residential programmes and Britain Yearly Meeting cannot take responsibility for participants outside of attended sessions. Parents and carers will need to make appropriate arrangements to enable participants to attend; this may include transport\, accommodation and food\, as well as supervision by an appropriate adult outside of sessions if they are not also attending. \n\n\n\nPlaces are limited and booking is essential. We encourage families to book early so that children and young people can share in a day that promises to be fun\, community building and spiritually enriching.
