SUMMARY:A Priest's Tale - Play by Michael Mears
DESCRIPTION:The Priest’s Tale: The riveting story of a miraculous suitcase\, a daring escape and the devastation wreaked on a city in a single instant by a nuclear bomb. A one man play written and performed by award winning actor Michael Mears of Wandsworth Quaker meeting. \n\n\n\nFriday September 25\, 7pm – 8.30pm\, Kingston Quaker Centre\, Fairfield East\, Kingston\, KT1 2PT. What3words: space.occupy.fresh. \n\n\n\nNuclear arms control is going into reverse. The START treaty expired earlier this year\, North Korea already has nukes\, Iran is accused of trying to develop them\, Saudi Arabia has stated it will work to get nuclear weapons if Iran does\, and South Korea is debating what to do – the list goes on. Quakers in South West London are raising awareness of the dangers involved with nuclear proliferation with the performance of a hard-hitting play based on one man’s experience of surviving the first use of the atomic bomb in war. \n\n\n\nThe Priest’s Tale has toured the UK\, USA and Japan. Entry is free\, the play will be followed by Q&A\, and refreshments will be provided. Tickets are available via eventbright here.

SUMMARY:London Online Meeting for Worship
DESCRIPTION:Online worship is now part of Quaker life across the world. Many of us regularly join in the established Woodbrooke online Worship and find in them a solid gathered worship and companionship. In Wales\, Friends have formed a recognised Local Meeting online\, following the guidance of Quaker Faith and Practice in forming the meeting. Now several London Friends will cooperate to offer regular online worship and an opportunity for companionship. \nWe invite you to join our weekly online meeting for worship\, which will take place from 7:30 PM on Fridays for the remainder of 2026. \nYou can join the meeting using this zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/93019652455.
