Ecumenical vigil for those who have died trying to get to Europe for a safer life (November)

November 16 @ 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm

On the third Monday of every month, at 12.30-1.30pm there is an ecumenical vigil outside the Home Office in Marsham Street, London, to pray for people who have died trying to get to Europe for a safer life. It’s always a moving occasion, with all the names read out and how and where they were found. Attenders now bring flowers.

This event is organised by the Catholic diocese of Westminster, and includes many from Pax Christi, the Catholic Worker and numerous churches. This is an issue which is precious to Quakers too, and the Friends who attend hope you can join them.
